Happy New Year! Welcome to 2026 and a bumper edition of On & Off Duty! The past year presented significant challenges for many, including health issues, bereavements, family and professional difficulties, as well as financial concerns. Global events also contributed to a complex backdrop.
Throughout these circumstances, however, faith has provided a consistent foundation. It is important to remember that, according to scriptural assurances, God’s presence remains steadfast. The passage in Isaiah 43:18–19 encourages us to move beyond former things and embrace the new opportunities each year brings. While acknowledging ongoing grief or difficulty, the transition into a new year offers renewed hope and the possibility of fresh beginnings.
