On Holy Thursday I was invited to the Washing of the feet service at Westminster Abbey. I confess I hadn’t been to such a service before and my first thought was “Oh no! I haven’t had a pedicure in ages!”
Once I was assured that my feet would remain firmly on my shoes, my mind was at ease. The Dean of Westminster Abbey washed the feet of 12 of their congregants.
