CPA/SOLAS Short Answers release

10 Aug 2023

The CPA have partnered with our friends at Solas Centre for Public Christianity to produce a series of seven ‘Short Answers’ films, addressing some of the biggest questions facing policing and society today.  They are designed to be accessible for people of all faiths and none and can be utilised in your force EDI streams as well as within your CPA branch.  They are:

1 – Why does integrity matter?

2 – How do we remain stable?

3 – Where do we find our identity?

4 – Why do Equality, Diversity and Inclusion matter?

5 – Are all religions the same?

6 – Why does justice matter?

7 – The Thin Blue Line

And you can access them on the CPA YouTube channel here: Solas Short Answers – YouTube

The speaker for each of these films, which range from 3-7 minutes in length, is Dr. Andy Bannister, the Director of Solas, who are a ministry focused on ‘persuasively communicating the transforming truth of who Jesus is and empowering Christians to do the same.’

Andy is an Adjunct Lecturer at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, holds a PhD in Islamic studies and is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Islam and Other Faiths at Melbourne School of Theology. Andy is also the author of an academic book, An Oral-Formulaic Study of the Qur’an, and two popular-level books: The Atheist Who Didn’t Exist (or: The Terrible Consequences of Really Bad Arguments), and his latest: Do Muslims and Christians Worship the Same God?.
